I was finally able to get some pictures of another spring/summer trend: tribal prints. I wore my beautiful blue and green tribal print dress from Forever 21 to work today. I paired it with my cropped black blazer to cover my shoulders and my beautiful Steve Madden flats. Although the hues of blue and green don’t match perfectly, I like the combination. The perfect ribbon striped flats are a great contrast to the crazy tribal print of the maxi dress. And the fitted, cropped blazer gives some structure to the otherwise shapeless dress.
After work, I made my way over to the lake once again to take my pictures. I realize I look upset, but I promise I was just deep in thought. When I was in high school, there was a little lake in the country that I would drive to when I just needed to get away and have some time to reflect. Everything about it reminded me of Michigan, where I was born. The dirt road, the over grown trees, the calm lake, the peace and quiet.
And now, I have found a new escape in Litchfield. There isn’t a dirt road, it isn’t secluded — a constant line of runners went by as I snapped my pics — and there aren’t as many trees, but it is still beautiful and it, too, reminds me of Michigan.
