Although I love dressing up and wearing high heels, I understand that some things are not meant to be glamorous such as camping and week-long music festivals. For work this week, I’m covering Sonshine, a four day Christian music festival that draws nearly 20,000 people to Willmar.

I wore my new khaki capris and a plain purple scoop neck with my colorful Rocketdogs. For the most part, the outfit worked well for the event. But by the end of the day, my shoes were very dirty and quite wet from my sweaty feet, so I think I’ll stick to tennis shoes or sandals tomorrow.
My feet changed to a tan-ish color from all the dirt that stuck to my feet after applying sunscreen.
And I got to wear these lovely accessories – a press pass necklace and an event admittance bracelet. Beautiful, right? … Not so much, but like I said life isn’t always glamorous. But it’s all worth it. I’ve had a lot of fun talking with everyone at the festival so far and can’t wait to see some of the bigger bands.
What not-so-glamorous things have you done for work?
