Sonshine, summer music festivals

I’m sorry for my lack of posts lately. I have been busy covering Sonshine Festival, a four-day Christian music festival, for work. I had a lot of fun talking with all the friendly people, listening to the wide variety of music and even talking with a few of the artists.

I even had the opportunity to interview Drew Shirley – the lead guitarist of Switchfoot before they performed on Friday night. He was so friendly and down to earth, which honestly kind of surprised me.

I also got a back stage pass, so I was right at the front of the stage for most of the big performances (Switchfoot, Relient K, Newsboys & Casting Crowns), which was awesome. I got a guitar pick from Jody Davis, the guitarist of Newsboys and Hector Cervantes guitarist of Casting Crowns, talked to me while he was on stage! It was awesome!

After watching all the amazing performances, I decided to create a Polyvore inspired by outdoor summer concerts.

Summer music festivals

When I think of outdoor summer concerts, I think oversize graphic tank tops with denim shorts, rubber wristbands, gladiator sandals and cross body bags. Of course, you can’t forget your camera or smart phone to instantly post your awesome photos to Facebook and Twitter.

What’s summer concerts or music festivals are you going to this summer and what will you wear?
