Day 22: My commitment to connect

For day 22 of the 30-30 style challenge, I wore my cropped blazer and purple tank. It was the perfect look for my final presentation in Communications Law.

As I was updating my LinkedIn profile yesterday, I decided to add my blog info. I logged onto my blog and looked back through all my posts to the very beginning, December 2011. It’s amazing to see how much my blog has improved. The photos I used for my first month of posts were awful compared to now. And the writing wasn’t all that interesting. BUT I had more comments on my posts when I first started than I get now.

At first I was surprised, but then I started really thinking about it…when I first started this blog, I was actively involved on Independent Fashion Bloggers and Blog Lovin’. I spent several hours every day last December reading and commenting on other blogs. But somewhere down the road my life got too busy, and I stopped reading and commenting. I lost all the connections that I had worked so hard to make. But I know that there’s two main parts to becoming a successful blogger: 1. Blogging regularly 2. Making connections w/other bloggers

And because I would like to blog for a living someday, probably for a company or news organization, I am making a commitment to myself to start connecting with more bloggers and working to keep those connections.

So, if you have a blog and would like to “connect” with me, please leave your link below. I’d love to check it out and chat with you. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll start a magazine together. After all, that is my ultimate dream!

  1. Hi, I hate that this will sound rude, but why in every photo do your feet point un naturally? I am assuming this is intentional. it must be a pose? It its really noticeable in this photo. Thanks!
