Freezing for the sake of fashion

For my last first day of college (woot! woot!), I decided to wear the adorable top that Robert got me for Christmas. I absolutely love it – It’s long sleeve, so I don’t freeze; navy and white stripes are my absolute fav; and it’s sparkly! (He knows me too well!)

I paired it with my dark skinnies, a long necklace and black ballet flats. I wanted to wear my tall black boots, but they are no where to be found. I brought them home for Christmas and could have sworn I put them in my front seat just before I left, but they’re not there or anywhere for that matter.

So instead, I opted for my black ballet flats, which brings up my question of the day – Are ballet flats meant for winter?

I’ve been wearing my ballet flats a decent amount this winter, and almost every single time, I deeply regret it. My feet can’t stand the open air. With thick tights, they seem to manage. But just a little sock is not enough; the top of my feet freeze the instant I walk outside.

Yet, I continue to wear them (and freeze), which leaves me wondering how many others are out there freezing for the sake of fashion? A lot I presume, since most of the style bloggers I follow have continued to take their photos outside even in the freezing cold.
