Day-to-Night: Out-of-focus, imperfections

It’s been a bit crazy over here, but the craziness is making me really appreciate all the people in my life that keep me sane like my mom, sister, Robert and all my lovely friends – I couldn’t do it without you!

Although I haven’t had much time for blogging, I’m trying to continue posting at least once a week until things calm down a bit and I can get back to my daily blogging again.

It’s been awhile (about two weeks) since I took any photos, so when I tried to take some tonight it was a bit challenging. I set up the camera took about 20 photos using the self-timer, changed clothes, put the card into the computer, edited them, and then realized they were out-of-focus.

I changed again and made attempt No. 2. Put the card in the computer, edited the photos and realized my smile was way too fake. So, I got the camera back out and made attempt No. 3.

I jazzed myself up by dancing around a little and laughing at my silly self in hopes of getting a real smile. I think I succeeded; although, the crazy dancing around my room kind of destroyed my hair. But, hey, it’s all those silly little imperfections that make me, me. So, deal with it!

Hope you all have a wonderful week full of silly little things that make you laugh!

Day 29: The final stretch

For day 29 of the 30-30 Style Challenge, I had to pull out my gray tights. I love how thick and warm they are, and I really didn’t wear them as much as I should have during this challenge.

I took a risk pairing the tights with this skirt since the grays didn’t really match, but I think it worked well. And the shoes just add an extra pop of color to my feet! I love it!

There’s only one day left in the challenge, and I have to be honest, I’m super excited to be done! Although I’ve loved the challenge of mixing and restyling to find new looks every day, I can only wear the same 30 items for so long before I start to get bored. But, I’ll definitely be revisiting some of my favorite looks from the challenge in the future! Ahh! Almost done!

Day 9: Versatile body-cons make easy day-to-night transition

“Happy girls are the prettiest.” – Audrey Hepburn

For day 9 of the 30-30 Style Challenge, I wore my teal body-con dress from Forever 21. I kept the look simple by just adding tights and a scarf. I love how versatile body-con dresses are. I can wear them with flats for a casual day look and then switch out the flats for high-heels or boots for a night out, which is exactly what I did.

Robert got a call from FSN in Minneapolis yesterday and was offered a job as a production assistant! He has been waiting for a call back for a couple weeks now, so it was very relieving and exciting to hear he was offered the job! We went out for a celebratory lunch, hit up the mall quick and then met some friends at Chumley’s in Moorhead to celebrate! He’ll be starting his new position December 3rd, so it was nice to spend some quality time together before he moves back home to start working!

What’s your favorite versatile piece in your closet?
